The Washington City Council meets tonight and will have final reading on several ordinances. They include; setting rates for LED lighting for the Washington Light and Power Department, establishing an electrical availability fee and adopting an economic development rider of the Indiana Municipal Power Association. Public hearings on those ordinances will be held prior to the council meeting. Also prior to the meeting the mayor will swear in the city’s newest police officer. The meetings start at 6:30pm. The Board of Public Works and Safety meet following the council.
