Governor Eric Holcomb’s Next Level Road plan which was announced this week means more money local for roads and mainly bridges in Daviess County. Daviess County would get $7.5 million over the next 5 years.
In the surrounding area, Knox County would get $34.8 million, Martin County 8.2 million, Pike County 19.3 and Greene 17.7 million.
The initiative unveiled by the governor is a five year plan part of a an overall 20 year plan to rebuild infrastructure.
There’s 4.7 billion allocated for the Next Level Road Plan which is being paid for through raised taxes implemented by the legislature this year.
