River on the rise

River flooding continues in western and southern Indiana late Friday afternoon.  Levels ranged from near bank full to 6 feet above flood stage.  Flood crests along the Wabash, White and East Fork White Rivers will be the highest since May.  Flooding may last up to7 days in southwest Indiana.
As of late Friday afternoon, the crest on the Wabash River was flattening out as it approaches Terre Haute and rising relatively slowly from Hutsonville to the Ohio River.  On the White River, the crest is approaching Elliston then Newberry.   On the East Fork White River, the crest was at Seymour, with levels slowly rising from        Sparksville to Shoals.
