(DLC Media)–Three Odon women with long standing ties to the Old Settlers Homecoming have been named Grand Marshal for this year’s annual celebration. This week’s Odon Journal (OJ Facebook Page) reports Amanda Wilz, Bev Smith, and Bonnie Jones will head up the parade when the 133 year old festival gets underway on Thursday August 3. The three women have served on the committee that produced the Old Settlers in years past, service that Jones described in the story as “rewarding”. The Odon Lion’s club has taken over the project this year and all three women expressed their thanks to the club for honoring them with the designation of grand marshal and are confident the Lions club will do a great job.
