Julie Dawn Benton, 50, passed away Sept. 29, 2017, at her residence in Monroe City.
She was born March 4, 1967, in Washington, to Dale and Ruby (Hill) McCrary. She married her husband Kevin Benton on Aug. 9, 1986. She worked as a secretary at many different places including Good Samaritan Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Benton; son Brandon Benton; parents Dale and Ruby McCrary; grandchildren Braxton Benton and Hannah Ivers; sisters Marla Raley, Mindy Wright and Lori Deffendoll and their families.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Monroe City, with visitation 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Julie Benton Memorial Fund. Checks may be made payable to Kevin Benton. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
