A Huntingburg dentist is accused of repeatedly locking a child in what police are calling a “closet cage.”
57-year-old Alan Friz is charged with Criminal Confinement and Neglect of a Dependent in the incident with his own child. Friz was charged after police they searched his home on a welfare check. Authorities had gone to the residence on Dubois County Road 700-South Wednesday to check on a report of an unruly child. After an interview with the teen, a search warrant was obtained. Police found what appeared to be a lockable closet which they discovered was allegedly used to lock up teenager during overnight hours and possibly other extended times.
While searching the home, reports say a 24 year old Kenneth L. Le Fevre arrived on scene and told authorities he rented a room at the home. He reportedly became disruptive and was asked to leave, refused and then was physically removed by deputies. He was charged with Resisting Law Enforcement.
