A Dubois County man was jailed on Sunday after driving drunk and parking in the state police post parking lot in Jasper.
About 5:50-pm Sunday, 41-year-old Jacob A. Zehr II of Dubois pulled into the lot to drop off his kids with their mother. He parked near the garage. Trooper Jarred Lents noticed it was an odd place to park and approached Zehr in his vehicle. Lents smelled alcohol and further investigation led to Zehr’s arrest.
Zehr was arrested for operating while intoxicated with minor passengers and neglect of dependents.
