A new Building Commissioner for the city of Washington was named yesterday. Don Williams replaces Bryan Bryan Sergesketter who was recently named head of the Street Department. Mayor Joe Wellman made the announcement Thursday. Williams worked nearly 40 years for the Washington Police Department. 32 years as an officer and another 7 as a dispatcher. In 2013 he moved to the Building Commissioners Office and has served as Code Enforcement Officer . In addition to being the new Building Commissioner he will also be the County Plan Director as part of an inter-local agreement between the city and county.
