The Vincennes Boat Club’s new clubhouse is finished.
The club broke ground on the new building back in March in the Pearl City area of Vincennes.
The Boat Club moved from Kimmell Park to Pearl City after the City of Vincennes deeded the park to VU. The University has since renovated that park along the Wabash. The old boat club building was torn down in that process. As part of the deal, Vincennes provided a 99 year lease of land at Pearl City to the club. City Revolving Loan Funds and VU Donations helped to pay the cost for the new clubhouse.
Club President Darin Foster says DC Metals Constructed the 30 by 40 foot facility. Foster says new club members are welcome. For information on becoming a Vincennes Boat Club member call him at 812-830-2775.
