The chief executive officer of a Hoosier Jasper-Group which employs 1,000 says Indiana is the “the ideal location for growth.” Dubois County-based Jasper Group’s Mike Elliott made the comment Friday during a visit from Governor Eric Holcomb as the company detailed previously-announced plans to move in and renovate a former Paoli Inc. facility in Orleans and add 316 jobs. The Jasper Group umbrella includes four brands and more than 2.3 million square-feet of manufacturing space in Dubois and Orange counties.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Jasper Group up to $2,000,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $100,000 in training grants based on the company’s plans to create up to 316 new jobs.
