Mr. Bobbie (Bob) Horrall and Mrs. Marilyn (Shouse) Horrall

Mr. Bobbie (Bob) Horrall, 86, and Mrs. Marilyn (Shouse) Horrall, 84, together went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2018. The couple was happily married for over 63 years since their wedding day on October 24, 1954.

Bob was born on February 8, 1932 in Decker Chapel, IN. He graduated from Decker Chapel High School where he was a star basketball player for the Panthers. Bob graduated high school in 1950 before serving in the Army during the Korean War. Bob was a lifelong farmer in Knox County/Decker Township. He served on the South Knox School Board for 8 years. Bob was preceded in death by his father and mother, Maurice and Thelma (Benham) Horrall.

Marilyn was born on December 31, 1933 in Hazelton, IN. She graduated from Hazelton High School in 1951 before attending Good Samaritan Hospital’s School of Nursing and becoming a registered nurse. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with other retired nurses in her “lunch bunch,” playing the piano, visiting with her family and loved ones, and cooking meals for her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Women group. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Marlin and Lucile (Spain) Shouse, and a brother, Richard Shouse.

Mr. and Mrs. Horrall were both lifelong members of Decker Chapel United Methodist Church where Marilyn played the organ for 40 years. Bob and Marilyn are survived by two sons, Douglas (Brenda) Horrall of Decker and Bradley Horrall (Michelle Parker) of Vincennes; grandchildren, Brittany Horrall of Indianapolis, Karisa (Jeremy) Cunningham of Indianapolis, and Jacob R. (Emily) Horrall of Vincennes; and great-grandson Walker Cunningham.

Funeral services for Bob and Marilyn will be at 11:00 am Tuesday April 17, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Evelyn Owens and Rev. Sam Polito officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4-8 Monday at the funeral home.
