Washington Police ERT assists in warrant arrest

More warrants were served around 5-pm Friday in connection with a drug investigation May 23rd that resulted in 5 arrests.

Brian K. Hill, 47 of Washington was arrested last month in that case and again yesterday for Level 5 Felony Possession of an Altered Handgun and a Misdemeanor Count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.   Police say they went to Hill’s home Friday to serve the warrant and he refused to come out and police learned there were children in the home.  The city police Emergency Response Team was called to the scene and after an hour Hill came out of the home and was arrested without incident.  He now faces an additional charge of Resisting Law Enforcement. No shots were fired in the incident.

Police also report they arrested 35-year-old Anne Johnson after locating her. She was wanted also in connection with the May 23rd investigations.  She was served arrest warrants for Conspiracy to Commit Dealing Marijuana, Dealing Marijuana, and both Level 5 Felonies and for Neglect of a Dependent.  She was served the warrant at a Highway 57 address.
