Jail overcrowding is a problem the Dubois County Security Center is trying to deal with, as are many jails and prisons in Indiana. The Dubois County Jail Setting Committee met Tuesday night and said committee seemed to agree that the main issue was was focusing on accessibility and providing services for inmates that will help them rejoin society when their sentence is done. They may decide to build a new jail in the future, but didn’t decide on that last night. The jail is 20% over capacity right now.
