Two incarcerated after traffic stop

-Washington Police report that 21-year-old James Harker was arrested for Possession of a Handgun without a License and 35-year-old Andrew Brown was charged with Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Meth.  That was the result of a traffic stop at Hillside Drive and Washington Avenue at 5:09-pm yesterday. Both Washington men were booked into jail without bond.

-28-year-old Brittany Schwartz of Washington was jailed Monday for Operating While Intoxicated with Greater or Equal to .15%, Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment and Reckless Driving.   The arrest was made by Washington Police.

-Phillip Smith, 49 of Wheatland was arrested by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department for Possession of Marijuana and Meth.  Bond was posted.

-An Elwood, Indiana woman was charged by the DCSD Monday with Possession of Meth.  Bond was posted for 37-year-old Tiffany Smith.

 

-A resident on Oak Street reported vehicle vandalism that occurred over the weekend.  The taillights on the car were damaged.

-From Sycamore Street a resident reported someone tampered with their vehicle.  They put the car in drive and it took off without using the gas pedal.  A friend said the throttle cable had been vandalized.

-Two were arrested yesterday morning after a 3:30-am traffic stop at Old Highway 50.  The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department enlisted the help from a k9 which located meth and marijuana.

-Police logs state that at 11:33-pm last night a vehicle was stopped at Center and Southeast 7th for failing to use headlights. A k9 was used and indicated on the driver and passenger doors and truck.  The report says a search yielded open baggies emitting the smell of raw marijuana.
