Washington Police will enforce parking laws at K of C Drawing

Be careful where you park Saturday night.

With the Knights of Columbus Treasure Hunt draw reaching a record jackpot of over 2.2 million dollars and only two numbers left in the game with the big money behind one of them, thousands will be downtown for the drawing Saturday night.  Washington Police Officer Brandon Hupries  estimate there could be as many as 8,000 people.

He adds that at recent drawings there’ve been complaints of cars parked where they shouldn’t be….

The Washington School Corporation has offered their parking areas around the schools this Saturday for those needing to park for the draw.  So get there early if you are from out of town or carpool.  If you are local, walk or bike but don’t park where you should not Saturday.

Towing will cost you around $100 and a ticket 25 to $50.
