Some meth arrests and vehicle burglaries reported

DAVIESS ARRESTS

-Omar Ayala Campos of Washington was arrested yesterday for Possession of Meth.  Bond was set at $2500. The arrest the result of a 4-am traffic stop Friday morning on East national Highway and State Street.  Police utilized a K9 unit in the stop.

-18-year-old Claudia Hopkins of Washington was arrested by city police following a 4:10-am shoplifting investigation Friday morning at Wal-Mart. She’s charged with Theft.  Bond was set at 47500.

-A Washington man was arrested on a warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.  $4-year-0old Timothy Scheckles was booked into the security center on a $10,000 bond.

-Indiana State Police made a drunken driving arrest overnight in Daviess County.  27-year-old Christian Meyer is charged with two counts of Operating While Intoxicated including with Greater or Equal to .15% and with Endangerment.  Bond was set at $2000.

KNOX ARRESTS

-Vincennes Police arrested 30-year-old Lacey Turner on North 4th Friday afternoon for Criminal Trespassing.

-31-year-old Whitney Sue Lamkin of Vincennes was arrested at Washington Avenue and St. Clair Friday morning for Possession of Meth and being a Habitual Traffic Offender.  Both are Level 6 Felonies.

-A Vincennes man is charged with Burglary and Battery while Armed with a Deadly Weapon. Details not released but, 44 year old Jose Santos was booked into the Knox County Jail Friday on a $50,000 bond.

DAVIESS POLICE LOGS

-There was a vehicle crash reported at 8:35 Friday morning at Daviess County Roads 100-north and 350-east.  Police reports indicate one person was taken to Daviess Community Hospital. A trailer with a donkey inside was involved in the wreck. The donkey was injured and taken to a vet.

-Some vehicle break-ins were reported Friday. Reports came from residences on North Meridian, Southwest 2nd, Maple Street and Highland Avenue.  Change was reported taken an in one instance cell phone charger was stolen.

-There was a theft of gasoline reported at the Chuckles location at the bypass yesterday morning.  A motorist drove away without paying for $53.00 in gas.
