The first ever Stone Soup Festival is tomorrow in Washington.
Stone Soup is an old folk story in which hungry strangers convince the people of a town to each share a small amount of their food in order to make a meal that everyone enjoy. It’s a moral regarding the value of sharing.
The Stone Soup Festival is a product of the Heartbeat of the City. Steve Belcher is with the group…
There will be stone soup prepared by Yolanda of Yolanda’s Bistro. There’s also entertainment. You’ll see the Bloomington Aerology. That will be a show of acrobatic flight and dancing on air.
There’s also games to play. Shelly Shake has been working on those…
The festival will be in the Gazebo area downtown. It starts at 4:30 and run to around 9pm.
