William “Bill” Homer Crooks, 62, of Graysville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018. He was born on Oct. 29, 1955, in Sullivan, the son of Lester A. and Barbara J. “Pheobe” (Gilham) Crooks.
Bill was a coalminer for 20 years and then a truck driver. Trucking was his passion and he loved riding his motorcycle Snowball. He was a member of the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2459 and Odd Fellows.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Tabitha (Miguel) Hernandez of Carmel; brother, Dave (Shelley) Crooks of Brazi; sister, Pamela (Bill) Hagemeier of Graysville; niece, Mackenzie Leigh Crooks; two nephews, Norman Lee Nation and Jared David Crooks; and several grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Sullivan VFW Post 2459. Interment will be held at a later date at Dugger Cemetery, in Dugger. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
