While patrolling the area of Park Street in Loogootee on Tuesday, Martin County Deputies say they saw a vehicle going too fast and driving left of center to avoid being hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The officer, Deputy Shinn of the Martin County Sheriff’s Department was forced off the road as he was facing the suspect car. Shinn turned around to make a traffic stop when the suspect turned into Redwing Trailer Court, stopped, and left the vehicle on foot.
With assistance from another Deputy and a K9, two women in the car were detained. A man walking away from the scene near Bowling Manufacturing was identified as Jordan Taylor of Loogootee and upon investigation was found to have been the driver of the car.
As police and the K9 searched the vehicle, narcotics were found.
The 22 year old Taylor is facing numerous possession charges as well as Resisting Law Enforcement, Reckless Driving and Driving While Suspended and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Bond was set at $50,000.
22-year-old Aayilah Bricker 20-year-old Equonya Ingram both of Frankfort, Indiana are facing drug possession charges and bond was set at $25,000 each.
