Eva Irene (Pate) Fox, 82, of Washington, Indiana, passed away Dec. 31, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 19, 1936, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Harbert and Elsie (Hall) Pate. She attended Harlan, Kentucky, schools. She married Richard Croak. He preceded her in death in May of 1977, and she then married Robert E. Fox on Dec. 29, 1979, in Washington.
She worked for May’s LP gas and the Moose Lodge in Washington for over 32 years. She was of Christian faith. She was a member of the Washington VFW and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Fox; seven children, Richard Croak, Pat (Diana) Croak, Bruce Croak, Deborah (Paul) Hill, Gary (Rhonda) Fox, Shari (David) Gray and Michael (Stacey) Fox; a sister, Jewell Yager; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Eva is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Obie and Glen Pate; a great-grandson, Carson Warne; a great-granddaughter, Kenedi Toliver; two stepgrandchildren, Amanda Kane and Tommy Lett
