Terrence L. “Terry” Allen, 73 of Washington passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019, with his loving wife of nearly fifty-two years at his side.
Terry was born on November 4, 1945 to the late Chester Lee Allen and Pollyanna (Enlow) Seals. He attended Washington High School until being drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for two years; while he was home on leave, he married the love of his life, Sharon Allen (Chestnut), and she survives.
Terry was employed by the local county government, as an Adult Protective Investigator, before that he was briefly a police officer for the Washington Police Department. He and his wife enjoyed travelling and music; Terry was a member of several local bands (Center Line and The Desperado’s) and performed rolls as lead vocalist, as well as, steel guitarist.
Survivors include; his loving wife, Sharon Allen; two sisters, Beverly Kay Godfrey, and Lisa Fields; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by; parents; two brothers, Dennis Perkins, and Joe Perkins; and a sister, Deborah Schull.
There will be a visitation in Gill Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM; Service to follow on Saturday, also in Gill Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
