In a specially called meeting the Odon Town Board took steps to fill an open supervisory position for the town.
According to a story in the Odon Journal, current town employee Travis Watson was hired to replace Matt Riggins who unexpectedly resigned . The Journal reports that Watson was training under Riggins and has only worked for the Town of Odon for two weeks.
The Town Board also learned that Odon’s liability, property, and casualty insurance is about to lapse. According to the Journal, Jon Britton with the Insurance Shop, told the Board that Odon’s insurance is scheduled to expire at midnight Saturday. Britton told the Board he needed authorization this week. The Odon Town Board has scheduled a special session for Thursday to address the insurance issue. The Journal reported that embattled Odon Town Clerk Beth Haseman was absent from the meeting.
