Area hospitals are lifting their visitor restrictions that were implemented during flu season.
Angie Steiner with Daviess Community Hospital says officials met Monday and all agreed that the flu cases are trending down. So, it was agreed to lift the restrictions. Other hospitals in the area following suit including Good Samaritan in Vincennes, Memorial Hospital in Jasper and Gibson General in Princeton
All facilities are still closely monitoring local flu activity and they encourage all of us with a cough, a sore throat, fever, chills or other flu or severe cold symptoms to not visit a hospital until those symptoms are gone.
