The Odon Town Council held it’s April meeting Monday, and the continued discussion of the State Board of Accounts audit dominated the meeting. The Odon Journal reports that during the discussion that Town Board member Chuck Krieg walked out of the meeting. The two remaining Town Board members, Vernon Graber and Doug Benjamin agreed that a council member and the town’s attorney, Brandon Smith, would set up a conference call with the State Attorney General’s office to discuss the situation.
The Journal also reports that the Town of Odon is also without a licensed operator for the Towns water and wastewater utilities. Odon is currently contracting for the services but the current contractor wants out of the contract. Board member Doug Benjamin said that the town has a problem retaining employees because they can make more money somewhere else.
