Knox County Republicans have chosen Rick Chattin as the new County Councilman for District 4 in Northern Knox County.
Chattin was chosen by Precinct Committee Members at a caucus to fill the seat of Jim Beery who died recently.
Chattin was chosen over two others who had put their name in the running.
Chattin will serve out the remaining 31/2 years of Beery’s term.
