An elderly Knox County couple died in a head-on crash Wednesday on State Road 159 north of Bicknell.
State Police report that 71-yaer-old John B. Buck of Freelandville was in an ’02 Jeep northbound while 27-year-old Joshua A. Roark of Vincennes was south in another vehicle. For an unknown reason, Roark went left of center hitting the Jeep. Buck and his 71-year-old wife Rita were pronounced dead at the scene. Roark was seriously injured and airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.
The crash happened at 4:34pm and 159 was closed for about 3 hours. Police are still investigating the crash.
