The Washington Police Department reports someone claiming to be an officer is calling residents and asking for personal and bank information.
They say a man called a Washington resident Wednesday and claimed to be officer Gary Anderson with the Washington PD.
The department advised you that if you are asked for personal or banking information over the phone, always hang up.
