The Knights of Columbus Treasure Hunt Jackpot in Washington was behind Number 1. Jessica Mattingly of Washington hit it on Saturday night however, she did not get to the claiming area in time so she didn’t get all of the nearly $528,000 jackpot. She did get half though.
There have been questions as to what the next jackpot will be. Per Indiana gaming laws, the Knights of Columbus has to donate a portion of the sales to charity. All money that was taken in from this past week’s sales will go towards the purchase, jackpot “start balance” and “side” dollar amounts. So the new jackpot total for the next drawing will not be the remaining half of the total. There are a lot of dollars that come out before setting new amount. The council will meet and discuss when the next board will start and what the starting jackpot will be. Stay tuned to WAMW for the latest.
