The Indiana Emergency Response Conference (IERC) recently presented its annual awards, honoring the best and brightest among Indiana first responders and public safety officials. Award recipients can be nominated by other emergency responders, as well as individuals they may have assisted.
Among the award reciepients was Knox County’s Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department’s Chief Chad Hanson. He was named Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year. The department is based in Monroe City.
