The Washington Board of Public Works and Safety Monday night approved moving forward with a proposal from RTC to provide all city facilities with high speed Internet services in exchange for the use of the city’s utility poles. The city currently receives $14 per year/per pole from NewWave, but pays NewWave approximately $40,000 for Internet service. The City’s contract for internet service from NewWave has another two years to run.
