Petersburg man arrested for battery near Princeton

On September 23, 2019, at 5:11 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of a disturbance near Severn’s Bridge north of Princeton. Upon arriving in the area officers located the source of the disturbance at a residence in the 2700 block of North State Road 65. Once all the parties were separated Deputy Zach Lienemann began an investigation into the nature of the disturbance. Witnesses on scene told Deputy Lienemann that 40-year-old Jonathan Frederick of Petersburg came to the residence and was asked to leave. At that point witnesses stated that a physical altercation ensued with Mr. Frederick being removed from the inside of the residence. Mr. Frederick was treated for minor injuries by Emergency Service Personnel from the Princeton Fire Territory and Gibson County Ambulance Service. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Lienemann went to Gibson General Hospital and transported Mr. Frederick to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with residential entry, battery with injury, and battery on a person less than 14 years of age. He has since posted a $750 bond.
