Barbara Jane Dove, 88, of Elnora, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home. She was born on July 29, 1931 in Daviess County, Indiana to Russell and Susie Elizabeth (Myers) Flinn. Barbara married the love of her life, Donald Dale Dove, on May 22, 1949.
Barbara was a member of the Elnora United Methodist Church. She worked in the Daviess County Clerk’s Office and was a homemaker.
Family left to cherish Barbara’s memory includes: one son, Robin (Karen) Dove; three daughters, Jacqueline Phillips, Crista (Jerry) Carroll and Tamra (Ron) Beckman; ten grandchildren, Marlena Gee, Amie (Adam) Lawrence, Andrew (Annie) Carroll, Craig (Brittany) Carroll, Leslie (Cory) Swartzentruber, Elizabeth (Alan) Hall, Jared (Katie) Beckman, Jessica (John) Mysliwiec, Josh Dove and Jenny (James) Farley; nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Evelyn Pershing.
Barbara was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Dove; daughter, Marilyn Dove, son, Marc Dove; her parents and one brother, Charles Flinn.
A funeral service honoring Barbara’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Debbie Payne officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 17 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elnora United Methodist Church in memory of Barbara. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
