Two people from Vincennes have been charged with illegal purchase of a firearm. Dakota S. Lovellette, 19, and Nicholas P. Apple, 22, were found falsifying federal firearms purchase forms, say police.
In February of 2019, Apple asked an unknown individual to purchase a firearm for Lovellette. Lovellette was unable to purchase a firearm because he is underage. Apple is a convicted felon which is why he also could not make the purchase.
Lovellette and Apple had the individual buy a .38 caliber Taurus Model 66 revolver at a Rural King in Vincennes. Police believe the exchange was made at a gas station nearby.
