The search is resuming today for a missing woman in the East Fork of the White River near the Highway 257 Bridge near the Daviess/Pike County line.
Conservation officers report that Pike County Dispatch got a 911 call at 5:15-pm Thursday from a concerned motorist. They’d passed a woman standing on the bridge and turned around to check on her and she was gone.
A car was parked on the south side of the bridge which authorities say belongs to 55-year-old Lianne Wiscaver of Washington who has not been seen or heard from since Thursday afternoon.
A search using dragging equipment took place last evening. The search was suspended for the night and was set to resume today.
The Pike and Daviess County Sheriff’s Departments, State Police, the Jefferson and Harrison Township Fire Departments, Southwest Medical and Pike County EMS are working with conservation officers in the investigation.
