-Washington Police released details of two arrests we reported yesterday. They say they responded at 1:45-am Thursday morning to Washington Towers to investigate suspicious activity. A traffic stop was made on a vehicle after police witnessed a traffic violation. The Washington K9, Drago, was then utilized and indicated the presence of Meth. 59-year-old Joseph Smith was found to be wanted on a warrant for theft and he and the driver, 42-year-old Jason Grow were both arrested for Possession of Meth.
-Washington Police charged 24-year-old Mercedes A. Oscar of Washington with Operating without ever Receiving a License and Resisting Law Enforcement. The arrest was made Thursday. No bond was set.
-Washington Police arrested 64-year-old Mary A. Smith of Washington Thursday on a Petition to Revoke a Suspended Sentence for Residential Entry. Bond was set at $5000.
-Indiana State Police arrested 42-year-old Heather A. Brummett of Washington Thursday on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Driving While Suspended. Bond was posted.
-Police, Madison Fire and an ambulance responded to an accident reported at 11:03-am Thursday at US 231 and State Road 558. Police log entries report it was a one vehicle crash and an occupant of the car was out and walking. The entry says a statement of medical release was signed at the scene.
-A semi went off into a ditch near the tracks at North Daviess High School yesterday afternoon. It happened when buses were leaving the school and they were allowed to pass before the road was shut down. There were no injuries.
-Washington Police investigated a hit and run accident reported at 4:40-pm on Thursday. A motorist reported a dark gray SUV hit her vehicle and continued east from Highway 57 and County Road 150-South.
