Betty I. Beasley, 87 of Loogootee, passed away at 9:27 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2020 at Daviess Community Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1932 in Greene County, Indiana to the late Ben and Nellie (Goodman) Rowe.
Betty married Tony Beasley on October 6, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2006.
She was a homemaker most of her life and loved cooking and gardening. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For many years she was a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble and the St. Joseph Altar Society. More recently she was a member of The West Shoals church of Christ and Fairview church of Christ where her son, Kris, officiated.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Beasley; parents, Ben Rowe and Nellie Ferguson; son, Keith Beasley; daughter, Kathy (Steve) Bough; granddaughter, Sarah Beasley; sisters, Hazel (Don) Roark and infant Dorothy Rowe; sister-in-law, Roselie Riggins; great-niece, Mallory Riggins.
She is survived by her sons, Kenny (Carla) Beasley of Winslow, Kevin (Stephanie) Beasley of Ellettsville and Kris (Auna) Beasley of Loogootee; daughter, Karen (Lee) Wade of Burns City; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and one due to arrive in February; brother-in-law, Kelly Riggins of Loogootee and sister-in-law, Liz (Terry) Bordenet of Lafayette; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 27, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
