Over the past few months, there have been numerous thefts of items from vehicles throughout Washington. The Washington Police Department says none of the vehicles that were entered were locked. The department is urging all who park in Washington to lock their cars and trucks and don’t leave valuables inside. The department says it’s evident that the thieves are not breaking into vehicles, but rather just checking to see if a car is unlocked. Several people have been arrested in connection with the crimes and the department says more arrests need to be made. If you see suspicious activity, then call the department at 812-254-4410.
