Organizers say 400 or more people attended Wednesday night’s meeting of the Martin County 2nd Amendment Sanctuary group.   One of the meeting’s spokespeople Paul McFeaters, a Martin County resident for 30 years,  told WAMW there were many in the audience that he had no idea were interested in gun rights issues.
He said the keynote speaker, Guy Relford, known as the “Gun Guy” on Indianapolis radio, who planned to attend, could not be there in person due to weather.  However, Relford did address the crowd via Skype.  He encouraged all who attended to be proactive in the political process and work hard to oppose the kinds of laws that cause citizens to petition their county governments for Second Amendment Sanctuary status.
McFeaters says his group will attend upcoming Martin County Commissioners and Council meetings requesting to enact an ordinance making Martin County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary.  He says they anticipate unanimous support of their elected officials.
