Henry Jacob Mitchell Jr.

Henry Jacob Mitchell Jr., 91, of Washington passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, at his home. Henry was born July 28, 1928, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Henry Jacob and Lillie Mae (Weis) Mitchell Sr. Henry married Suzanne Marie Spindler on June 8, 1957. He retired from Crane Dec. 31, 1985. Henry was a Korean War veteran. He received an electrical engineering degree from University of Evansville. Henry was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Brute’ Society, charter member of the Catholic Education Endowment and a supporter of Right

to Life. He is survived by his son, Michael James and wife Molly Mitchell of Washington; daughter Barbara Jean and husband Randy Emmons of

Washington; sister Elise O’Bryan of Evansville; grandchildren Sarah Mitchell Hopf, Matthew Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, Hannah Freyberger, Tim Emmons, Ryan Emmons and April Emmons; and 18 greatgrandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Mitchell, who died Dec. 26, 2014; his parents; and brother Louis Mitchell. A private service will be held. Memorial donations may be given to Washington Catholic Education Endowment, P.O. Box 916, Washington, IN 47501 and Daviess County Right to Life, P.O.
