Daviess County reported more confirmed coronavirus cases yesterday. The health department says the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases here is 21. They say the patients are in quarantine. 17 of those patients and one previously reported death are all associated with Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. . Ketcham staff and administration are working closely with the Indiana State Department of Health and local medical providers to contain and stop the spread within their facility. DCHD is working closely with the local and state officials to ensure that close contacts of the patients are identified and monitored and that all infection control protocols are being followed. The patients have been placed in quarantine. N
Meanwhile, the state map showed Pike County had 2 cases yesterday which was up one from a previous count. The Pike County Health Department said that report of a 2nd case was a clerical error at the local level and Pike County only has 1 confirmed case. They hope the error will be corrected at the state level today.
