It didn’t happen without some political sniping but Congress has approved a bipartisan bill providing additional coronavirus relief.
Republicans attacked Democrats for delaying passage. Democrats insisted more should be done to support hospitals and coronavirus testing. The deal achieved in negotiations between the Democrats and the Republican White House included both. Indiana’s Republican Congressman Larry Bucshon says the package will save jobs and businesses. House Democrat Andrew Carson also says the crisis “is far from over and Congress must do more.”
