The biggest news from the region concerning COVID-19 this weekend came from Dubois County where an increase of 33 cases was reported. As of Sunday there were 118 cases in Dubois County. 30 of the 118 have recovered. There have been 2 deaths. The Dubois County Health Department attributes the increased number to more testing. They say with even more testing being done, the number o cases will rise. The say the increase was expected.
In Huntingburg, where some cases were found at the Farbest Turkey Processing plant, officials said the plant would be closed down today and tomorrow as they await test results of all employees conducted Friday. Those who are are negative were said to be getting a call to return to work on Wednesday.
According to the current COVID case man from the state department of health, Greene County has 64 cases, Knox 22, Martin 7 and Pike 5.
