A new flag pole at the Knights of Columbus in Washington will be a dedication to deceased members. The club says the 30 foot pole will be erected Saturday at the K of C building on East Main in Washington. The first flag to be raised at 1-pm will be raised in dedication specifically to Dan Bennett who was an active member and officer of the council for many years. Dan’s family will raise the flag. A plaque will also be unveiled at the pole.
The project is made possible by Brother Knight’s Council 630 and 4th Degree Assembly collectively. The concrete work was completed by Pat & Jordan Raymann, and donated by Jones & Sons. The pole was put in place by the City of Washington line crew. The plaque was crafted and donated by Joe Sponn, and placed by Jon Casper.
