Washington and North Daviess Classes of 2020 Graduation Ceremonies This Weekend

The Class of 2020 went through a “interesting” last semester of their school career.  In many areas of the country, students had no graduation ceremony, or it was a drive-by pick up of diplomas from inside a car.   However, two local school districts are giving their students at least a modified graduation experience this weekend.   Washington High School, with the largest senior class in the area, will be conducting three separate ceremonies in the Hatchet House on Saturday, July 11.  The school system is complying with the Governors directive to limit indoor crowd size…Superintendent Dan Roach explains.

Graduates will attend the ceremony in alphabetic groups and will be give three tickets for family members.  Graduation ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m., noon, and 2 pm on Saturday at the Hatchet House.  Tickets distribution began yesterday and continues today between 10 and 2 and 5 to 7 at Gate 6 of the Hatchet House.  All guests must have a ticket to attend the ceremony.   The WHS Class of 2020 has approximately 200 members.
North Daviess will hold its graduation ceremony on Friday at 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium.  Seating is limited and tickets will be required for admittance.  North Daviess Class of 2020 has 76 members.
Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
