Cynthia Marchbanks

Cynthia Lou Marchbanks, 62, of Petersburg, passed away July 9, 2020, at her residence in Petersburg. She was born July 14, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Wiley and Dixie Marchbanks. Cindy graduated from Pike Central High School in 1975. She was a longtime member of the Maple Grove Pentecostal Church. She was a secretary for the First Baptist Church of Petersburg. Cindy was very well known in the area for her cake baking.
Cindy is survived by her twin sister, Sandy Marchbanks; sisters, Kathy (Ronnie) Ficklin of Petersburg and Patty (Mark) Tegmeyer of Petersburg; and nephews, Ryan Ficklin, Evan (Carly) Tegmeyer and Owen Tegmeyer. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Michael Lee Marchbanks.
Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. EST Sat., July 11, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. A walk through visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. EST at Harris Funeral Home on Saturday. Pastor Ronnie Ficklin will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Indiana Right to Life. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic masks will be required for those attending the service and social distancing will be practiced. Please bring your own masks and keep a 6-foot distance from others. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
