William Joseph “B.J.” Bingham

William Joseph “B.J.” Bingham, age 61, of North Vernon, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020, at his home after battling cancer since January. 
  B.J. was born January 25, 19959 in Washington to William A. and Margaret M. (William) Bingham.  B.J. graduated from Washington High School in 1977.  He moved to Texas for 20 years and came back to Indiana and married Karen Jo (Cox) Bingham.  He enjoyed playing bingo and skip bo with his family and playing the lottery.  His favorite thing to do was to ride around in his golf cart, enjoying nature, and decorating his yard.   
  B.J. is survived by two daughters: Karla (James) Collins of Indianapolis, and Nicole “Nicki” (Luke) Cox of Vincennes; brother Richard Bingham of North Vernon; three sisters, Darlene (Richard) Bingham Brown of Burns City, Leota (Christopher) Bingham Havens of Ogednsburg, N.Y., and Paula Bingham Coryell of North Vernon, and six grandchildren. 
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Jo Bingham, who died September 17, 2011, his parents, brother David Bingham, two sisters, Caorl Bingham and Maryanne Bingham; brother-in-law Douglas Coryell, and two nephews, RJ Brown and Grady Brown.   
   Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Ed Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.   Funeral services will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel at 1;00 p.m. with Father Paul Ferguson officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
