Patty J. Smith, 78, passed away in Clay, Ky at her nieces residence at 1:10 pm on July 31, 2020. Patty was born on February 3, 1942 in Vincennes the daughter of Evertt and Inez (Coleman) Smith.
Patty was a member of First Baptist Church and very active in Bettye J. McCormick Senior Center where she was a participant in their hospital visitation program. She received the Volunteer of the Year award at the Bettye J. McCormick Senior Center for several years and was also a RSVP volunteer.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Doris Minnette and Joyce Smith and three brothers, Ray, Jack and Tom Smith.
Graveside services will be held for Patty at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Phillip Walthall officiating.
