The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation is getting closer to purchasing 3D Mammography equipment. Due the pandemic, their annual Kentucky Derby Fundraiser was cancelled and they held an online auction in its place. Between proceeds from the annual golf scramble and online auction, the hospital has raised nearly $62,000. The DCH Foundation is committed to reaching their goal of $100,000 to offset the $350,000 cost of the 3D Mammography equipment. The equipment will allow for earlier detection of breast cancer, less need for callbacks, improved comfort and experiences, and improved chances for a good outcome for patients.
The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation’s mission is to secure funds to support Daviess Community Hospital’s efforts to meet the health care needs of the community. Thanks to generous supporters, the DCH Foundation was successful last year in raising over $300,000.00 for projects benefiting patients, families and the communities they serve.
The Foundation Board hopes to combine their annual Kentucky Derby Fundraiser with another online auction next spring. For more information on the DCH Foundation efforts, please contact Angie Steiner at 812-254-8858.
