North Daviess tennis raised their record to 14-4 w a 5-0 win at South Knox.  They travel to Gibson Southern on Thursday.
The Washington boys tennis team will host Forest Park tonight.
The Washington vs Barr Reeve Volleyball match up last night was postponed.  No make-up date has been set at this time.  The Lady Hatchets return to action tonight with a tough road trip to Loogootee to meet the Lady Lions.
The North Daviess Lady Cougar Volleyball team is now 9-8 on the season with a straight set win over Evansville Bosse 25-23, 25-13, 25-23.  They host SWIAC foe Linton on Thursday evening.
The JV North Daviess Football team topped Eastern Greene 28-0.
Tonight, its a double-header of high school soccer as the Washington Boys and Girls Soccer teams travel to Jasper to face off with the Wildcats.  The girls game is first at 5:30pm, followed by the boys at 7:30pm.  Tune in for both games tonight on your home for the Hatchets Memories 107.9fm and wamwamfm.com.
The Indianapolis Colts learned Monday that safety Malik Hooker is out for the year after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings. Hooker is in his fourth season and is in the final year of his rookie contract. Coach Frank Reich also announced wide receiver Parris Campbell suffered an MCL and PCL injury in his left knee and will be out indefinitely.
Basketball icon Michael Jordan is starting a NASCAR Cup Series team with three-time Daytona 500 champion Denny Hamlin as a co-owner and Bubba Wallace as the team’s lone driver. Hamlin will continue to race for Joe Gibbs Racing, and the new team will be aligned with Gibbs and Toyota. Jordan is the owner of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, and he will purchase the team charter from Germain Racing. Wallace is the Cup Series’ only Black driver and is leaving Richard Petty Motorsports at the end of the season.
Cubs starting pitcher Jon Lester was efficient, allowing four hits over six shutout innings as Chicago blanked the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-0 Monday night at PNC Park. Kyle Schwarber hit two doubles and drove in two insurance runs one day after being benched for misplaying a ball in the outfield.
The Cincinnati Reds scored four runs in the eighth inning and took a crucial 6-3 decision over the Milwaukee Brewers. With the win, the Reds pulled one game ahead of the Brewers in the NL Central, and tied the Cardinals for second in the division.  The big series continues tonight with live coverage of the Reds and Brewers starting at 6:10pm on the General 95.9fm / 101.3fm.
The Kansas City Royals defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-1 Monday night at Kauffman Stadium in the Show-Me Series.
