No one was injured after a small apartment fire in Evansville Friday. According to the Evansville Fire Department, the fire started in the 1800 block of Plantation Court just before 3:30 p.m. When crews got there, they found a fire along the wood siding of the building that went into the wall space. Evansville Fire officials say the fire started on the outside of the building, after a resident threw away a cigarette in a plastic coffee can. The apartment was moderately damaged.
